Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr today chaired the 2nd Ordinary Meeting of the Fifth Council of the Freetown City Council.
After the meeting she said: “We’ve had a very spirited engagement with the full involvement of the Deputy Mayor, Councillors, the new Chief Administrator and the four Representative Tribal Heads. It’s been an all-day meeting as there is a lot to go through.
“Excellent collaboration and a collective determination to make a significant impact in Freetown and in the lives of Freetonians.”
In another development, workers of the Freetown City Council are hard at work trying to Keep the city clean and tidy.
“Freetown City Council workers have re-started our green space maintenance work. Beginning at Hill Cot Road ten days ago, they have been working in the west of the city before moving over to the east,” says Mayor Aki-Sawyerr.
